Fendt is the high-tech brand of the AGCO Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of tractors and agricultural machinery. When welding safety cabs for tractors, the company relies on welding technology from CLOOS. In the two-station system, two robots weld add-on parts to cab spars. The Vari Weld welding process is used here, in which a particularly stable, low-spatter pulsed arc is generated. The robots are mounted on an elevated track and can switch flexibly between the two stations. The workpiece positioner with vertical rotary movement is equipped with a vertical stroke with counter bearing and a rotating bridge. This makes it possible to reach hard-to-access areas and achieve optimum weld seam quality.
